Salome and the Head of John the Baptizer

I wanted to do another modern dress Biblical piece, and my fiance challenged me to do this one.  I used watercolor on the silver platter, which made the paper get warpy hence a slightly out of focus photograph (I need a color scanner!).  Still, I'm pretty pleased with the way it came out.  Definitely, I think, in the Caravaggio/Velazquez tradition.
